Bake & Scrambled Eggs (Guyanese Cuisine)

Ingredients:

3 Cups Flour
3 Tsps Baking Powder
3 Tblsps Butter
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp Salt
1 1/2 Cups Water
3 Cups Oil (for frying)

In a large bowl combine the dry ingredients, then slowly add in water until a nice soft dough is formed. Once you have done this, cut in pieces & roll each piece 5-6 inches in diameter & about a 1/4 inch thick. Fry in hot oil, turning once & until golden brown. Drain on paper towel.

For this meal, I choose to pair it with scrambled eggs. Here is what you need for 2 servings:

2 Eggs
3 Large Mushrooms
1/4 Green Pepper
1/4 Onion
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
3 Tblsp Butter (for frying)

Heat butter in frying pan until melted, combine all the veggies until medium cooked then add in eggs with salt & black pepper to taste.

Welcome/Bienvenue/Bienvenidos

Bonjour!

I decided to start blogging to chronicle my sense of fashion & my love of food. Where should I start? I remember growing up that I had no choice but to wear what I was given by mom - which sometimes included hand-me-downs from my cousins. Things have dramatically changed from since then, and fortunately, I can pick & choose whatever I want to wear. I have evolved from a jeans-wearing undergraduate to a more sophisticated woman. Most recently I have shied away from the usual glitter/sparkle/sequins craze & have developed a love for vintage and out of the box style.

As for food - I have a passion for cooking. I fell in loved in food about 5
years ago when I got tired of eating ramen noodle (described as food for college kids). It was back then that I had an epiphany that with the right ingredients anyone can cook ( as Gusto says in Ratatotuille).

Stay tuned for fabulous fashion trends & delectable ideas for meals!
